Stayed there on August 6-9, 2009 and when we booked there, they advertised that Breakfast in part of the Amenities but IT IS NOT!!!. There is no option to buy it on online travel website, so there can be a problem unless they fix this error. Also they are not that close to the Spanish Steps. It is a good hike from the hotel but not hard if you are in shape. Ray, Toronto Canada

Location good 15 minutes walk to Spanish steps, 20 minutes to trevi, 25 to pantheon/ Piazza Navona. Five minutes from Via veneto with lots of restaurants and beautiful park Villa Borghese. One block to hop on/ off and buses. 15 minutes walk to termini 10 to metro subway station. Nice but tight room with thin walls. next room doors very close. Walls in lobby/ bar/elevator dirty need to be painted. Rooftop restaurant beautiful panoramic Rome views! Breakfast adequate - no american meats only patries, cheeses, cold cuts, fruit/croissant/coffee and juice. Service and staff good. They allowed me to change my arrival date at no additional charge! Reservations manager was great! Would stay here after some improvements or if on a budget. they give a complimentary welcome glass of wlne. Significant street noise if room on front. Overall decent. Grade : "C"

There were no racks or hooks for wet towels. The hotel location was excellent and the staff helpful.

My wife and I booked an upgraded room from the Romanico Palace, and were ecstatic with the amenities we received for the price. Our beautifully accommodated room included an expansive view of Rome from the sixth floor, a personal balcony, full bath, tile floors, and a fresco on the wall. The staff was extremely professional and courteous, and the hotel will arrange a private car to and from the hotel for a very reasonable price (in light of what a taxi from the nearest train station will run you). The hotel is located a few blocks from Via Vittoria Veneto, and is an easy ten to fifteen minute walk west to the Trevi Fountain or the Spanish Steps. The hotel restaurant and those on Via Veneto are quite expensive, but there are several eateries nearby that seem to cater to a more local crowd and are reasonably priced for excellent food. The main train terminal (Termini Station) is a ten minute walk south of the hotel. The neighborhood immediately around Romanico Palace is very pleasant and quiet, with many upscale residences and diplomatic properties nearby. As I stated, I can only speak to the quality of the hotels mid-tier rooms, but my wife and I were very impressed and would readily recommend this hotel to any traveler visiting Rome.

We booked a room at the Romanico but were actually given a room in the adjoining Veneto. We did have access to the rooftop cafe for the included breakfast and we used the desk clerk at the Romanico for information as the one at the Veneto did not seem to be as knowledgeable. The location was excellent, a 10 minute walk to the beautiful Via Venetto where we found many great places to eat, as well as the Metro station. The general area was very nice, we felt safe taking long walks after dark. The room was large and modern by European standards but the shower was TINY! Don't drop the soap or you will have to open the shower doors to bend down for it.
