I have to say bring some air freshener with you because the room has an aweful order when you first walk into the room. The bed is completely uncomfortable and makes all kinds of noise every time you move. The shower has no water pressure unless its on full on hot. It really needs an update and/or remodel. The blower for the AC has to run wide open because there is no temperature control. It sounds like the fan in the bathroom is on all the time. However the staff was very friendly and mostly competent. The room service is great and very fast.

If the Holiday Inn is your cup of tea than this ain't the place for you. The Standard on Sunset is not your grandma's hotel. I mean, there's a scantily clad lady on display behind the front desk! The room decor was sparse and the bathrooms were basic but nothing was dirty. The bed was comfy, the staff was helpful, the food was great, and scene rocked the house. I saw Steve Aoki in the lobby when I was staying there! (If you don't know who that is then, again, this isn't the place for you.) The Standard was a great place for the price.

This Hotel was terrible. It is in a fun part of Hollywood, but the next time I head back for a fun weekend The Standard Hollywood is not the place. The service room wise was good, however, even being a guest there are restriction's for the poolside and the lounges and they charge for guest parking!!!!!!

The hotel leaves little to be desired. There is NO way this is a 4 star hotel. A Motel 6 would've been a better choice. The beds were lumpy, the room poorly decorated. No choice to turn on air conditioning or heating, just a dial that said blow hard to harder. If it's cold outside it blows heat and hot it blows cold. Here's the problem, it was cold outside but super stuffy in the room. Also, no coffee maker. If you want it you have to go down to the coffee shop to buy it. I will say, the food at the coffee shop was good and exceeded expectations based on the quality of the room. About the only cool thing about the hotel was the lobby. Parking is $29/day!
